To aid in the advancement of the Foundation's mission, the Guild hosts several ature events and initiatives. This annual luncheon is one of Houston's most anticipated events featuring iconic authors and celebrities. In partnership with the Harris County Public Library, the Guild hosts the Curiosity Cruisera one-of-a-kind mobile library that travels to low-income neighborhoods and provides children and their families access to books, offers educational programs that integrate science, math, art, reading, technology and writing and provides family literacy events. The Curiosity Cruiser first hit the streets of Houston in The Annual Community Book Drive is hosted by the Guild to increase the availability of books in low-income households.
